Evidence-led comparison

CoachOS vs ABC Trainerize: which fits your coaching business?

Both platforms deliver online coaching. The bigger decision is whether you want a long-established coaching ecosystem with broad add-ons, or one connected CoachOS journey from your public website and first enquiry through to coaching delivery.

Side by side

Compare the workflow, not just the feature count.

Every competitor statement below points to an official source. “Unknown” means the reviewed pages did not provide enough evidence; it does not mean the feature is absent.

A fair decision

Choose the product that fits the business you are actually building.

Choose Trainerize if…

Its strengths match your non-negotiables.

  • You want a permanent free plan for one coaching client or a low-cost two-client starting point.
  • Direct Garmin, Fitbit, Withings, MyFitnessPal and other established integrations matter to your delivery model.
  • You need studio, multi-location, live-video or custom-branded-app options and accept the relevant plan or add-on structure.

Choose CoachOS if…

You want acquisition and delivery connected.

  • You want your website, funnel, forms, booking and lead pipeline in the same product as coaching delivery.
  • You prefer a single core feature set rather than assembling key acquisition and payment workflows through separate add-ons.
  • You value sequence-preserving Smart Rest Days and a UK-priced connected operating system for a coaching business.

Fit by stage

The right answer can change as your roster grows.

01

Testing the idea

Trainerize has the lower financial entry point: its Basic plan supports one coaching client for free. CoachOS starts higher because its Starter plan also includes the public acquisition and sales surfaces.

02

Established solo coach

Choose based on workflow shape. Trainerize brings a deep coaching ecosystem and integrations; CoachOS brings the public website-to-lead-to-client journey into the same workspace.

03

Team, studio or multiple locations

Trainerize Studio explicitly targets established teams and locations. CoachOS Team targets one shared coaching brand, starts with two active coaches and supports up to 500 active clients shared across the team.

Switch carefully

Migration is a managed project, not a magic button.

CoachOS can assess eligible data and an assisted path. Scope, responsibility and timing are agreed case by case; not every historical field or external tool can be imported automatically.

Discuss your migration
  1. 01

    Inventory

List active clients, programme templates, exercises, nutrition resources, forms, messages, files, payments and future bookings.

  2. 02

    Decide the boundary

Agree which eligible data can be assisted into CoachOS and which history should remain as a read-only archive.

  3. 03

    Pilot

Move a small representative client group, validate programming and communication, then collect coach and client feedback.

  4. 04

    Cut over

Set a date, tell clients what changes, verify new logins and active programmes, and keep a rollback record.

Comparison questions

CoachOS and Trainerize: what to check

Is CoachOS cheaper than Trainerize?

Not at the entry level. Trainerize lists a free one-client plan and a $9/month two-client Grow plan, while CoachOS Starter is £59/month for up to 10 active clients. The scope is different: CoachOS Starter also includes website, funnel, forms, booking and lead-pipeline tools. Compare the complete stack you would actually use, and do not treat USD and GBP prices as directly equivalent without checking current exchange rates and taxes.

Does CoachOS replace every Trainerize feature?

No. Trainerize has strengths including direct integrations, studio and multi-location tooling, video add-ons and custom-branded-app options. CoachOS is differentiated by connecting public acquisition and sales workflows to coaching delivery. Unknown or unsupported rows are stated plainly in the table.

Can CoachOS migrate my Trainerize account?

CoachOS can assess eligible data and an assisted migration path. Scope, responsibility and timing are agreed case by case; not every historical field, message, payment record or external integration can be imported automatically.
